| The Engine Repair House once sheltered a large steam locomotive from the freezing night temperatures. Under the tracks that run along the aisle are 5-foot pits that allowed maintenance crews to work underneath the locomotives. The tin roof is stained from the steam and soot from idling engines. It is probably the only theatre with a full size steam engine nosing up and onto the stage. The building was converted to a Melodrama Theatre in the summer of 1983. Melodrama was held for 25 years. The theatre has been used for many events including: Variety Shows The Annual Freebox Fashion Show Film Club Fridays Community Fundraisers Private party events George Burns Inpersonation Poetry Slam movies such as Beer For My Horses NOW Closed until meeting fire code restrictions |
